The Secret of Sarah Revere--Significant People

Page history last edited by Lorna Hammer 17 years, 10 months ago

 blank cards.docTeacher will pass out one historic name to each student with corresponding website.  Students will be assigned a partner, or two, with whom to work. Each student will, together with their partner:

(1) locate the corresponding website;

(2) print the page about that person;

(3) highlight important information; and

(4) discuss pertinent information with their partner(s).

(5)  students will then present their cards and highlighted notes to the class, requesting feedback for editing before creating cards.

(6) Each group will then be asked to create one game card of the person's name and one game card of the person's contribution or role that that person played in this book.

(7) These cards will be put together to form a "people" deck and a "contribution" deck to be used in playing The Secret of Sarah Revere--Game--Word Pursuit Instructions.

The assessment rubric regarding group work will be filled out on the following day, after the second small group project is completed with the same groups.
