Paul Revere's "The Bloody Massacre" is a media which we will discuss using the Center for Media Learning's (CML's) Five Key Questions.
- First, open the link describing the engraving, ww.earlyamerica.com/review/winter96/massacre.html and learn the other side of the story from what the picture tells.
- In your groups of 2-3 students, take turns reading the paragraphs.
- Discuss what you've learned.
- Fill out the sheet (linked below) regarding the CML's five key questions; make sure that each student gets a turn writing your group's answers--sign your initials next to the answer that you wrote.
- After all groups have answered these questions, the class will discuss the CML's Five Core Concepts.
- How does this relate to our essential question--"what is truth--and who defines it?"
