Summary
In this book the Chings provide a clear, easy to grasp explanation of the history behind women and the rights they have fought for. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, suffrage, education, employment, women in the military and reproductive rights. The Chings enlighten us about where women started, what their goals were and how they tried to reach them, to finally where they are now. Although women can be proud of what gains they have made, the Chings close the book warning that there is more road to travel and that women should continue to stay strong in their passion for equality. Several images with captions enhance the power of the text, in addition to a glossary, Bill of Rights, and resources for further reading.
