Assignment Specifications and Rubric
When we are finished with this project, we will have created (as a class) an encyclopedia about ordinary people involved in the Civil Rights Movement.
Your individual part:
· Write up a page (use template) of your partner’s report of the pages they read. For example, if he/she read about Jacqueline Wilson, you will write the encyclopedia page about her. That way, you will be checking your partner’s understanding of what he/she read and also be learning about that person yourself.

The group assignment:
· After you have been grouped by topic (i.e. bus boycott, sit-ins, etc.), the group must create 2 pages of images that correlate to the topic. You will be searching the internet (use primary sources link worksheet) and printing off pictures of people, places, events, documents, etc. You must include at least 6 images on your page. One of those images should be of an original document. Remember, you can resize them!
· Remember to write down your group’s encyclopedia page names in your own Related Information section!
· The pages must be 8 ½ x 11 and will be placed in sheet protectors in our 3-ring “encyclopedia” binder.
